Our Canadian pictures

The pictures were taken at Thornhill Country Club in 2002. Thornhill Country Club was established in 1922 and it was originally designed by Stanly Thompson. Many holes were improved since 1992 based on a long range plan by Doug Carrick. Thornhill C. C. was home of the Canadian Open in 1945 where Byron Nelson won his 11th straight victory. The Club offers to the members an 18 hole championship golf course, a 9 hole short course, chipping and putting practice green, driving range, tennis court, a curling rink for the winter and a tennis and golf pro shop.

Old Lake Golf & Country Club

The club was established in 1998 on a hunting estate which was former Princes Eszterházy`s possession. It can be reached within 40 minutes from Budapest and it is in the vicinity of the Öreg-tó (Old Lake). The 18 hole, par 71 championship course with lakes and natural water flows is situated in a virgin forest.

Polus Palace Golf Club

The club founded in 2002 is the nearest to Budapest's downtown and can be reached within 20 minutes. The 18 hole golf course (par72) has a mildly rolling landscape, contains numerous water hazards and it is situated in a nature reserve that boasts several unique plants.
